The photo is taken by a good friend, he's used a filter on his camera wich gives it a nice warm glow. Decided to use it as a basic for a fantasy landscape painting.

it's really fun to do some free landscape-painting :) I used some (for me) unusual brushes for this painting wich allows me to work much faster. (About 3,5 / 4 hrs in Photoshop).

I tried to keep this digital painting as loose as possible for me and wanted to achieve a painterly feeling to it. Done in Photoshop (2,5 hrs) I used mainly one brush ...it's called 'Sampled brush 72'

Jimmy Hendrix Acrylic

This painting I made of Hendrix is quite big (56x80cm). It's acryl on 400gr paper, primed with gesso.
Some higlight details are done with soft pastel.
I'm not really satisfied with the likeness but I do like the spontaneous colors. It's all practice..
